The rooms were shabby and damp, indicating a need for better maintenance.

there were great-sized and beautiful rooms with coffee, table tennis, for example. the staff was excellent, outstandingly accommodating, i liked the stay mainly because of them. the service was very good and the pool was lovely. the facilities were good and easy to use.

A quirky escape from the world

The idyllic grounds were captivating, with emus and peacocks roaming freely. The traditional Devon farmhouse style added charm, and the pool games room was a good surprise.

The decor felt a bit mismatched and dated, and the shower facilities were hardly sufficient for the number of guests. The narrow access track made entering the place a bit tricky.

Trimstone manor is such a quirky spot! It's an old farmhouse, surrounded by beautiful gardens and grounds, just 5 minutes from woolacombe. We loved the pool, games room, and the bird sanctuary with emus and peacocks. The decor has that traditional devon farmhouse vibe, and the bed was super comfy. Our stay really was so good!

Charming Rural Escape with Unique Wildlife

I loved the peaceful grounds that featured lovely peacocks and emus roaming about! The indoor pool was warm and enjoyable, and the overall vibe of the place was both charming and inviting, especially with the vintage decor and historical architecture surrounding us. I would have liked to see more modern facilities in the self-catering accommodation.

The lack of clarity regarding dining options was frustrating, as the restaurant only serves afternoon tea and is closed for evening meals. Limited access due to a difficult, narrow road can challenge arrival, especially during inclement weather, and the decor throughout feels dated, with some areas in need of maintenance and a refreshing touch. The games room leaves much to be desired as it appears neglected and lacks basic upkeep, while some shared facilities showed signs of being overlooked, affecting the overall experience.

Staying here was such a delight with the cozy, comfy room and the lush garden that made for a perfect evening stroll. The heated pool and games room were great ways to unwind after a day of exploring. The only downside was the occasional noise from nearby rooms, but it didn't really take away from our lovely stay. 🏡
